How do I get a copy of my DD214?
There is a military site called ebenefits. you can get it through there after registering. It is run by the V.A.Or you can go to your local v.a. office and they can help you.
I am looking to get a copy of my DD214 for my military service. Is there a way to obtain a copy for free?
I don’t recall paying any fee to get my DD214. To avoid fees, don’t go through a third party. Get your records directly from the Federal Government by following these instructions.Sometimes the government does charge afee, but if you were discharged after 1957, then I don’t think you’ll be charged for a DD214. All discharges and military records before 1957 are in an archive in hard copy — there’s a fee to get you a copy from the archive. Here’s what the web site says about the non-archival stuff for those discharged after 1957:Generally there is no charge for basic military personnel and medical record information provided to veterans, next-of-kin and authorized representatives from Federal (non-archival) records. If your request involves a service fee, you will be notified as soon as that determination is made.Good luck!

How can I increase the traffic on my website?
So you launched a new website - congrats! Maybe you even installed google analytics. You check back to see all this new traffic and all you get is:Well that’s a bummer. Fear not friend, here’s a few thoughts on what to do after launching a new site that I previously shared on the CU Times - while this was written for credit union marketers, these points are universal.Develop an acquisition strategyFocus on intent and qualified traffic by leveraging search and social media advertising to drive bottom of the funnel traffic while data-driven display advertising powers the top. All advertising is not created equal so you’ll need to build a media mix to bring in a blend of visitors at various stages to make your site effective at achieving conversion goals.(bonus - read my answer to: How can I boost conversions of visitors on my website?)Use content marketing for SEOAbout 1 in 3 people searching will actually click on an ad. So with an acquisition strategy in place, we’ve got 1/3 of our opportunity taken care of. What about the rest of it?That’s where SEO comes in. I’m talking about the white hat, Olivia Pope, good guy kind of SEO. None of this keyword cramming, weird linking, promises of page one results overnight junk. The kind that matters to search engines and your visitors comes in the form of creating value, answering questions and being an expert resource. That only comes from turning into a content publisher.Get socialFind out where your target audiences are hanging out socially. Engage in conversations there. Don’t just link drop - come on now - you’re better then that. Create value, share thoughts, add ideas and develop your brand.Build loyaltyGive people a reason to engage with you and get updates from you. Someone found you - awesome! Now incent them with free content upgrades, cookies (seriously, actually saw a small bakery do this.) whatever it takes just get them to engage so you can communicate with them again in the future.Good luck!
How exactly can I get out of this comfort zone by motivating myself?
10 Ways to Get out of your comfort zone:Give more money than you feel comfortable with away tomorrow (amount is usually relative on your current situation)Answer a call from an unknown number. Even better if it's a debt collectorDo something others are waiting for someone else to do. Today at the post office, there was a long line. There was no one answering the door there to pick up packages. People would come in, ring the bell and wait. All of us in line knew they were wasting their time, but said nothing because we didn't want to look weird. I didn't say anything, so I failed at this because I didn't want to "stand out"Invite someone you don't know to meet for coffee (someone in your field). Don't stop at a no response, wait for someone to say No or the more common "My schedule is very busy, maybe another time."(A polite No)Talk to someone in an elevator. It's regularly NEVER done by 99% of people. You'll find most people are really pleasant, but no one wants to say the first word.If a waiter or barista or anyone messes up something today (work included). Don't "be nice" and let it go. That's back talk for "not wanting to make waves." Be polite and ask them to correct the mishap. My wife, infant and I were out at a restaurant and a waiter hadn't greeted us to start for over 10 minutes. My inners were saying, "Oh, don't worry someone will notice you, just sit tight." That's your inner back talk "wimp" voice. So, I got up, went to the manager and told him (politely) to have a waiter sent over immediately. They offered us a free appetizer for the mishap.Every person you walk past today, give a smile and "hello." Most people wait for the other person and then it just looks sad as 2 glum faces make eye contact. We don't want to look too "eager" or "weird." Do it, most will return it.As Matt said, ask for a discount somewhere. It doesn't have to be Starbucks. I just had a late fee on a credit card. My inners are telling me, "you deserve it, just let it go." I swallowed, dialed the bank, asked them to remove the late fee, and they did. Ask and you shall receive. At any point in the day you realize you haven't exercised at all (typically when you're in a lazy position) immediately get up and do a set of 25 pushups. It's hard. I'll couple this willpower exercise with getting up right when the alarm goes off. Immediately. Not even 10 seconds later. Right away. It's this same muscle that pushes you that builds new habits.Write a FB status about a failure you've had, or a personal story about struggle (without the "feel sorry for me" feel to it). When no one comments, celebrate the rejection. I once posted a status about one of my most embarrassing moments in my life on FB (from HS, I was in a talent show, everyone was looking forward to our band playing, I couldn't hear myself over the drums, I knew I sounded terrible based on the looks in the crowd, so I faked a cough to get off stage). NO ONE commented on FB. Awkward.

How can I make myself get out of bed more quickly?
Understand that you wake up just the way you do because you’ve hardwired your brain like that. This process is called NEUROPLASTICITY - your brain adapts to the conditions it gets exposed to most frequently. The more you have certain reactions, do certain things, have certain habits, the more you will exhibit them in the future.Staying in your bed for longer than you should enforces the habit of staying there even longer the next morning. And the way to start getting up faster is to reconstruct the neural network of your brain. How do you do that? — By getting up faster.I hope you can understand the massive implications of this…For me, this is scary enough of a motivation to re-consider everything I do and how I do it. I don’t even spend a minute thinking about it anymore because I’ve engraved this proactive reaction into my brain. I’m biased towards getting out of bed fast because that’s how my brain works. But what are some other ways to force or trick yourself to get up?Decide to wake up early – Before you go to bed, make a decision that you’re not the kind of person who sleeps in. You’re the kind of person who opens their eyes and tap dances out of bed because that’s what the best version of yourself would do. This primes your subconscious to actually do it.Write out your Big 3 – Create a short list of the 3 most important activities and goals you need to accomplish the next day. This way your brain can start working on them already during the night, but it will also remind you that you have some goals that need to be done. No one else is going to do them – only you.Don't even think about it - As soon as you open your eyes, roll out of bed. This way your monkey mind won't get a chance to create negative self-talk and procrastination. Okay, jumping right out of bed onto the floor isn't necessary because you might pull your back or something. Have a nice stretch and then jolt out.Ask yourself 'WHY' - Why do you want to get up? You maybe have some goals or a bigger reason to work towards. In that case, it shouldn't be a problem at all to choose between your greater purpose and a few extra minutes of slumber. If you remember why you do something, you can get instantly motivated by the results you'll eventually get, but only if you wake up first, that is.Remind yourself neuroplasticity - This is crucial because you wanting to sleep in is a habit - it's a neural pattern and not bound to who you really are. Every moment spent in bed conditions your brain to prefer it in the future. Every decision you make ultimately creates the person you are.Move your body - Throw away the blanket and start doing jumping jacks, push-ups or immediately take a cold shower. This will get you out of your head and pumps blood into your muscles. After that you'll have more energy and desire to do things, instead of sleep.Ultimately, you have to choose who you want to be as a person, what you want to accomplish and how you're going to do it.But you need to realize that getting the life you desire requires you to accept the necessary effort needed to make it happen. All of your thoughts and actions have consequences and to change your results, you have to change your behaviour. How to Get Up In the Morning if You're Struggling With Sleeping In - Siim LandStay EmpoweredSiim
