FAQ

Is it okay to have Garcinia cambogia and apple cider vinegar together twice a day?
Look at the Wikipedia page on Garcinia. It is toxic to the liver when taken as a supplement. It may be all right when used in small quantities in cooking. It doesn’t help in weight loss and neither does vinegar.
Has anyone tried the Apple cider vinegar and Garcinia cambogia supplement diet, did it work?
Work for what?Apple cider vinegar has no effects on human health, and whatever that other supplement iis is also likely snake oil.To lose weight, eat fewer calories than you burn through exercise. That’s it. You can easily grow obese on a diet with apple cider vinegar, because it does not affect appetite or weight loss. It's an edible industrial waste from apple cider priduction, not magic.
For weight loss, should I drink apple cider vinegar before a meal or after, and why?
I have used apple cider vinegar and honey in hot water as a hot drink that I enjoy, and to assist in losing weight, for over forty years. If I drink the above first thing in the morning, I don’t feel hungry, often until noon. If I drink it before dinner, I am less hungry, and I eat a smaller dinner. My experience was to first lose ten pounds, then maintain a stable weight, but after holidays or, sometimes, a stressful period, I’m back up by five pounds or less. When I decide to lose those extra pounds, the cider vinegar and honey is combined with very little bread, pasta, or potatoes, and lots of fish, fowl, and meat, lots of vegetables and fruit, and no limit on olive oil. (That’s more or less my usual diet. I can eat as much as I feel like eating, and eat foods that I enjoy, just cut way back on the starch)
Is it good to drink 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar (with mother) mixed with a glass of water early in the morning? Why, and why not?
That is an old dieters thing. It’s fine but I wouldn’t do it every day. If you have acid reflux then yes do it. This helps keep your gut healthier than antacids. If you are just doing it for a week that’s fine. Any longer and it could end up causing stomach aulcers or more frequent bowl movements at unwanted times. Just do it sparingly if things turn south on your current regiment.
Does vinegar help to pass a drug test?
Yes and No.How it won’t workIf you intend to go with the internet’s recommended method of using vinegar as a same day solution, I’m sorry, but there’s a very high chance of failing the test.Sources that vouch for this method claim that by mixing a spoonful of vinegar in a glass of water, and then following it up with another gallon of water, acetic acid which is the main active ingredient in apple cider vinegar will work by masking the drug metabolites in the urine thereby allowing you to pass the test. While I won’t openly oppose that, there isn’t any scientific evidence that shows that vinegar would really work this way.People who claim to pass using this method actually pass due to internal dilution. As I have explained in another question here, taking too much water blindly ahead of a test could lead to more problems since it leads to dilution of other important urine components including creatinine and specific gravity (I have explained the dilution method here).Don’t think of using vinegar as an adulterant either.According to this study, it’s true that adding vinegar directly into urine can lower its pH level and thereby lead to a false negative with EMIT Immunoassays. The major problem, however, is that vinegar shifts the pH outside the physiological range completely and you could be flagged for adulteration. How vinegar might help you pass a drug testThis study shows that taking vinegar over a few weeks can be effective in reducing body weight and fat mass. The ability to reduce fat mass means that vinegar can speed up the detoxification process by burning the fat cells containing drug metabolites. But this method requires a good amount of time- weeks or month. This means that it will only work for people who are trying to flush THC from their system and have enough time for this.Follow this link for a detailed article on whether apple cider vinegar can help in passing a urine drug test.
How much apple cider vinegar do I need to drink a day for kidneys and detox?
Things don't stay popular for 15+ centuries for no reason.Vinegar possesses oxidative stress scavenging effects, inhibits lipid peroxidation, and increases the levels of antioxidant enzymes and vitamin. It's not a 'miracle' it's basic chemistry. Here's an idea what to expect:http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubm...The amount given in studies like this (theres plenty) are fairly low too. It would be a few tablespoons for a 180lb man. I have a favorite drink from the Braggs Vinegar folk (quantities adjusted a bit to taste): ~1/4 cup vinegar, juice of a half lemon, 2TB honey, ~1L of cold water.
Is it true that apple cider vinegar can delay your period?
Apple cider vinegar in alternative circles has been claimed to do lots of beneficial things for us, all unproven, undocumented alternate wishy-washy nonsense, so the answer is no.Should you want to reliably delay your period, up to three days in advance, you can take Primolut N (norethisterone) thrice daily one tablet of 5 mg until you want to have your period, in skinny girls twice daily 5 mg will do. Our daughter when a young teen learned this early on, had some noresthisterone in stock and regulated her periods when needed herself, no doc needed (just me to write her a script).
